DIAGNOSTICS
Diagnosing faults on diesel engines has changed so much through the years and we have invested in the latest computerised diagnostic equipment to keep up with modern systems allowing us with our experience and expertise to diagnose and cure most faults.
Below are two that we use:

Below is a test being carried out on a Common Rail System checking for a very high back leak between cylinders. If a fault is detected the injector can then be removed and either repaired or replaced.

YDT278 - Back Leak Testing
Right?is a Cylinder Leakage Tester which is far better
than a Compression Test as it checks for leakage past the?sealing surfaces in the Combustion Chamber and the loss of air can be seen on the gauge as a percentage drop or by listening to the exhaust or the intake manifold for a hissing noise.

Possible sources of leakage (ranked from most to least common):
- Exhaust Valve
- Piston Rings
- Intake Valve
- Crack or Hole in Cylinder Head or Piston
